Attachment style, Affective Temperament and Psychological distress among mental health nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic

COVID pandemic has had a substantial impact on the nurses working in a mental health setting. Most of our nurse participants carried a mild level of attachment anxiety, moderate levels of affective temperament, and suffered from “Impact on mental health and perceptions of psychological care among medical and nursing staff in Wuhan during the 2019 novel coronavirus dise minor psychological distress. A0ective temperament has a substantial role in predicting nurses’ psychological distress levels. Longitudinal research is required for adequate exploration of the underlying mechanisms of a0ective temperament that best predict psychological distress among nurses and to provide the data needed for the establishment of additional instruction for nurses which will address appropriate stressor coping methods with stresses.
