A field experiment was carried out in one of the agricultural fields belonging to Al-Khalis district / Diyala governorate, which is located 14 km north of Baquba district, during the autumn season of 2022, in soil with clay loam texture in order to study the effect of organic fertilization with humic and fulvic acid and spraying the amino acid proline on vegetative growth. for sunflower plants (Helianthus annuus L.) A factorial experiment was carried out with two factors according to the randomized complete block design (RCBD) and with three replications. The first factor was sprayed with humic acid and fulvic acid at concentrations of 6 gm.L.-1 For each of them as well as the control treatment, the second agent was sprayed with proline acid at four levels: 0, 10, 20, and 30 mg.L-1 The results showed that there was a significant superiority when adding humic acid + fulvic acid at a concentration of 6g.L-1 In the average characteristic of plant height, stem diameter, plant dry weight, chlorophyll index, leaf area of the plant, and the number of leaves per plant, which were 160.60 cm, 21.57 mm, 174.25 g, and 57.43 SPAD and 687.31 cm2 and 38,81 leaves. Plant-1, respectively. The results showed that there was a significant superiority when spraying with proline at a concentration of 30 mg.L-1 In the mean of plant height, stem diameter, plant dry weight, chlorophyll index, plant leaf area, and number of leaves per plant, which were 166.95 cm, 21.10 mm, 180.00 g, 54.07 SPAD, and 704.01 cm.2 and 40,05 leaves. Plant-1 respectively, the results showed that the interaction between the levels of foliar fertilization with humic and fulvic acids and foliar fertilization with proline acid had a significant effect on all traits, as the overlap treatment gave 6 ml.L-1 Humic + Fulvic X30 mg.L-1 Proline has the highest mean of plant height, stem diameter, plant dryness, chlorophyll index, leaf area of the plant, and number of leaves per plant, which were 171.80 cm, 23.76 mm, 197.00 g, 64.23 SPAD, and 802.82 cm.2 And 41,80 leaves-1 respectively. Keywords: Humic acid, fulvic acid, proline acid, organic acids, foliar nutrition, sunflower.

LIMNOLOGICAL STUDY OF DIYALA RIVER, IRAQ

المجلة: The Iraqi Journal of Agricultureal science

سنة النشر: 2018

تاريخ النشر: 2018-09-02

This study was conducted to evaluate the physicochemical and biological (epiphytic algae) properties of Diyala river. Eighteen environmental parameters were selected in addition to the qualitative study of epiphytic algae (total number of algae and chlorophyll a). Two macrophytes (Phragmites australis and Certatophyllum demersum) were selected for the benthic study. The results showed that the river was alkaline, very hard, brackish water and good aerated. The trophic level is ranged from oligotrophic to mesotrophic according to the results of total phosphorus, total nitrogen, and chlorophyll a. The study revealed that the upper part of the river differed in its properties from the middle and the lower part in the environmental characteristics and the Algal benthic quantities.

Abstract: A factorial experiment was applied according to Randomized Complete Block Design (R.C.B.D) with three replications, during the spring season 2017 in Diyala / Baquba / Buhriz city, using silt loam soil to study the effect of four levels of foliar fertilization with humic acid 0, 2, 4, 6 ml.L-1 in the growth and yield of sunflower, Helianthus annuus L. (LuLeo). The results showed significant differences for level of humic acid 6 ml.L-1 in plant height which gave an average 213.73 cm, leaf area of the plant 5597.32 cm2, chlorophyll index 48.64 SPAD, dry weight of the plant 215.0 g, number of seeds in the flowery disc 1494 seed.disc-1, 1000 seeds weight 88.3 g, plant yield 127.91 g.plant-1, total yield 6.81 ton.h-1 and oil percentage in the seeds 43.184%, while the level 4 ml.L-1 humic acid gave the highest average for the protein percentage in the seeds 18.34%. Key words: The effect, Sunflower, Humic acid, Foliar nutrition, Growth characters, Yield characters.

Abstract: A filed experiment is carried،to study the effect of foliar spray on the plants of hibisscus sabdriffain four concentrations of 0, 5, 10 and 15 g. L-1 and glycyrrhiza glabra extract with four concentrations of 0, 5, 10 and 15 g. L-1 in the growth and produce of Zea Mays L. Baghdad class, according to the design of complete random sectors (R.C.B.D). The results show that the hibisscus sabdriffa extract is 15 g. L-1 gave the highest mean, plant high, Leaf area, dry matter of geran, ear length, the number of grains in per ear, and the plant yield was 189 cm, 714 cm2, 159.0 g.plant-1, 22. 97 cm, 720.0 tablets, and 212.2g, The results show that Glycyrrhiza Glabra root extract with a concentration of 10 g. L-1 gave the highest mean, plant high, Leaf area, dry matter of geran, length of clove, the number of grains in per ear, and the plant yield, was 191.82 cm812.7 cm2, 183.0 g.plant-1, 23.76 cm and 764.9 grains, 277.4 g. The treatment of the interaction between the plant extract of hibisscus sabdriffa and glycyrrhiza glabra the concentration of 15 g. L-1. Hibisscus sabdriffa + 10 g. L -1 glycyrrhiza glabra is the highest average of the studied traits. Keywords: yellow maize, cauliflower extract, licorice root extract.
