تاريخ النشر: 2024-07-21

The term "clean agriculture" refers to a kind of farming that does not include synthetic inputs like fertilizers and pesticides. Various may think that the methods of clean agriculture are one method, but they have many ways, all of which come under the development of important natural systems. Bio and organic agriculture is an integral part of clean agriculture. Bio and organic agriculture rely on well-established scientific foundations related to the natural balance in the universe. They are preserving natural resources such as soil, water and air elements in the production of clean crops, in addition to several factors that must be combined and optimally utilized in protecting crops from various disease and insect infestations, as well as taking care of the environment and preserving it from pollution.

Flowers and Fruits Abortion in Fruit Trees ... Causes and Solutions: A review

The history of planting fruit trees dates back to the presence of mankind on Earth. The people's interest in cultivating it has increased with the progress of their civilization, as the fruit has become important in human food and his environment. The fruit-growing areas of both types, evergreen and deciduous, spread from north to south of Iraq. Palm cultivation is concentrated in the southern provinces, while palm, citrus, olive, pomegranate and others are concentrated in the central provinces. In the northern regions, the cultivation of apples, grapes, olives, stone kernels and Nut fruits is widespread. The production of fruit trees in many countries of the world plays a major “economic” role in their renaissance because the production of these trees has a direct relationship to increasing national income. The production of these trees requires the employment of qualified technical labor, the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, modern irrigation systems, tree breeding and pruning, As well as the production of seedlings in nurseries. It has been observed that fruit trees are directly related to the food industries, such as preserving fruits by freezing or drying, and the manufacture of jams and juice, and what these industries need of high technologies. Moreover, the fruits of fruit trees, whether through fresh consumption or processing, have a high nutritional value due to the sugars, oils, fats, protein, mineral salts, vitamins and others. The abortion of flowers and newly set fruits in fruit trees varies according to different species, varieties, environmental conditions and horticultural service operations. Abortion may be desirable when the number of flowers and fruits set on the tree is many, and this is called (natural thinning). While the abortion is harmful if the number of flowers and fruits is few on the tree, which results in a lack of yield later.

Response of Local Orange Seedlings to Budding Dates and Bio, Organic and Chemical Fertilization

The study was conducted in the lath house of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Design /College of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Mosul, to demonstrate the effect of two spring budding dates (April 2 and 17) with the local orange Citrus sinensis L. seedlings on Citrus Aurantium L. seedlings and the addition of chemical fertilizer (NPK) at two levels (0 and 30). Seedlings-1 gm) and biological and organic fertilization at seven levels, including liquid organic (Neutrgreen) at a level of (6 ml.l-1) and biofertilizers (Biogen at levels 3 and 6 gm Anvil-1 and Potassium Mag at levels 5 and 10 gm. Anvil-1 and Folzyme at one level ( 1gm. Anvil -1)) On the success rate of budding and subsequent growth of grafted seedlings, the study was carried out using a split-plate system within a randomized complete block design (RCBD) for factorial experiments with three factors, and the average coefficients were compared using the Duncan multinomial test at a 5% error probability level. The most important results obtained can be summarized as follows: The first appointment on April 2 was significantly superior to the second appointment on April 17 in the two characteristics (length of developing shoots, fresh weight of leaves, and percentage of carbohydrates in leaves), while there were no significant differences between Chemical fertilizer levels with the studied traits. On the other hand, the levels of biological fertilizers (potassium and Biogen) achieved significant superiority in all the studied traits compared to the comparison treatment.

EFFECT OF BIO, ORGANIC AND CHEMICAL FERTILIZATION ON THE GROWTH OF GRAFTED POMELO AND GRAPEFRUIT SEEDLINGS

The experience aimed to demonstrate the response of Citrus grandis and Citrus paradise grafts growing on twoyear- old Sour orange seedlings to bio-fertilizer (Gorabac G, liquid organic (Compo) and chemical urea in improving growth and its mineral content. The obtained results showed that the type of grafted seedlings did not have any significant effect on all the studied traits, while the addition of fertilizer combinations for each of the bio-fertilizer (Gorapac G) and the liquid organic fertilizer (Compo) led to a significant increase in all the studied traits, especially the treatment (20 gm. seedlings of Gorabac G biofertilizer + 10 ml. liter of liquid organic fertilizer Compo). The highest significant values were recorded for most of the studied traits.

RESPONSE OF THE OLIVE SEEDLINGS OF MANZINILLO VARIETY TO FOLIAR SPRAY WITH SOME GROWTH STIMULI

A study was carried out in the lath house at Horticulture and Landscape Department, College of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Mosul during the 2020 growing season. The aim was to demonstrate the importance of foliar spraying with three levels for each of the Nano iron chelate (15, 30 and 45 mg. L-1), liquid organic fertilizer (Compo) (2, 4, and 6 ml. 1 liter-1) and seaweed extract fertilizer (Alga600) (5, 10 and 15 g. 1 liter-1) in improving vegetative growth and mineral content of olive seedlings variety "Manzanillo. The comparison treatment consisted of spraying with distilled water only." The most important results obtained showed the significant superiority of the treatment of foliar spray with liquid organic fertilizer (Compo) in most of the studied characteristics. This was particularly obvious in the spraying treatment with a concentration of 6 ml. 1-1. This recorded a significant superiority over the rest of the treatments, especially the comparison treatment, in terms of leaf content of nitrogen, zinc, chlorophyll, carbohydrates, protein, and the increase in seedling height. This was followed by the treatment of foliar spraying with nano iron chelate fertilizer at a concentration of 45 mg. L-1 was significantly superior to the comparison treatment with compared with the traits, the iron content of the leaves and the increase in the diameter of the seedlings. There were no significant differences in all the fertilizer treatments, including the comparison treatment compared with the traits, the leaves content of phosphorus and potassium.

This study aimed to investigate spraying two organic fertilizers viz. Delfan plus and Vegeamino, which contain amino acids, on the vegetative growth of pomelo seedlings using concentrations of 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4ml/l. The study was designed according to a completely randomized block design, and each treatment was repeated three times, and one experimental unit included four seedlings. The results showed that the application of organic had containing amino acids especially at the levels of 3 and 4 ml/l of Vegeamino, which achieved a significant increase in all the studied traits except the zinc content of the leaves

EFFECT OF SALINE STRESS ON GROWTH OF FRUIT PLANTS (REVIEW ARTICLE

المجلة: Mesopotamia J. of Agric

سنة النشر: 2020

تاريخ النشر: 2024-07-21

Soil and irrigation water salinity are among the main problems hindering agricultural development, especially in arid and semi-arid regions, which depends on especially surface irrigation as the main means in agriculture. The salinity lead to low growth and production of plants, including fruit, as a result of the temporal, azalotic, or nutrients imbalance. Salinity of the soil or irrigation water greatly reduces the growth, productivity and quality of fruit crops by affecting their physiological, chemical and biological functions as they cause obstruction to the absorption of some elements by the plant and if it increased absorption of salts, it causes ion poisoning of the cell, as well as increased salts cause less absorption of water by the plant due to the high osmosis of soil water. There are many ways to reduce the salt stress in the growth of fruit plants, the most important of which is adding organic fertilizers such as humic acid or spraying with the amino acid proline.
