Physiological races of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris in Iraq

Twenty isolates of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris were isolated from wilted chickpea plants obtained from different districts of north part of Iraq to assess variability in pathogenicity of the populations. Each isolate was tested on 12 differential chickpea varieties. Isolates showed highly significant variation in wilt severity on the differential varieties. Based on the reaction types that induced on differential varieties, isolates were grouped into four groups, First group included isolates FocS1, FocQ7, FocQ10, FocF13, FocH17 and FocH18; the second group included isolates FocS2, FocS3, FocS4, FocQ5, FocQ8, FocQ9, FocF11, FocF12, FocF14 and FocH19; the third group included isolates FocF15, FocH16, FocH20; where the isolate FocQ6 was placed in the fourth group. Results showed that the percentage of genetic similarity was ranged 42% to 100% and was 42% between the first group and other groups and 72% between the three groups the rest and thus this indicate the presence of four races of the fungus which are 0, 4, 5 and 1B/C, this represent the first record of these races in Iraq

STUDYING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SOME PLANT EXTRACTS AND PESTICIDE ABAMECTIN IN ROOT-KNOT NEMATODES MELOIDOGYNE JAVANICA

This study was conducted in the laboratories of the College of Agriculture/University of Karbala to study the effect of extracts (eucalyptus leaves and garlic cloves) and the biological pesticide (abamectin benzoate) in addition to the effect of a mixture of these extracts where it was observed that the effect of these materials is very clear on the rate of inhibition of egg hatching and the vital juveniles root knot nematode Meloidogyne spp. It was found that the highest rate of inhibition of eggs hatching was at a concentration of 2000 ppm and at a time 72 hours and for pesticide abamectin benzoate 48.76% and the lowest was in the control treatment for 24 hours reached to 5.60%, and the highest rate of inhibition of eggs hatching at a concentration of 4000ppm at a period Exposure of 72 hours to abamectin benzoate and at a rate of 66, 90% and lowest in the control treatment, for the same concentration, and for a period of 24 hours exposure, at a rate of 15.16%. As for the effect of extracts on the viability of juveniles, it was found that the eucalyptus extract had the highest effect at a concentration of 2000 ppm for a period of 72 hours where the percentage was 31.3% and the lowest and for the same concentration in the treatment of garlic extract for a period of 24 hours, at a concentration of 4000 ppm, the pesticide abamectin benzoate was surpassed at a period of 72 An hour and gave an effect ratio of 81.66% compared to the comparison treatment and for the same concentration, but after 24 hours it reached 11.66%, and through the study it was shown that the pesticide Abamectin Benzoate was superior to both concentrations on the effect of egg hatching

ٌعد مرض ذبول الحمص المتسبب عن الفطر ciceris .sp .f oxysporum Fusarium Sato .K and Matuo) Padwick (واحد من االمراض المحددة النتاج الحمص ولمكافحة المرض باستخدام المبٌدات الصدٌقة للبٌئة فقد أظهرت نتائج االختبار الحٌوي لعدد من المبٌدات اإلحٌائٌة وهً و Bacillus pumilus و Bicont – T و T. harzianum و Trichoderma viridae fluorescens Pseudomonas و subtilis.B فضالً عن المبٌد فٌتافاكس فً تثبٌط النمو المٌسلٌومً للفطر المسبب وادت الى تثبٌط نمو الفطر مختبرٌا، واظهرت نتائج المكافحة الحٌوٌة لمرض الذبول الفٌوزارٌومً باستخدام المبٌدات اإلحٌائٌة عن تفوق المقاومان الحٌوٌان viride .T و fluorescens .P على باقً المعامالت من حٌث تقلٌل نسبة اإلصابة إذ خفض كالهما نسبة اإلصابة الى 34.23 و %32.22 على التوالً ، بالقٌاس مع %21 فً معاملة المقارنة أما على مستوى صفات الحاصل فحقق المقاومان الحٌوٌان السابقان زٌادة فً جمٌع صفات ومكونات الحاصل مقارنة ببقٌة المعامالت . كلمات دالة : الحمص ،الذبول الفٌوزارٌومً ، المكافحة الحٌوٌة.
